Zest Cranberry Sauce with Candied Pecans
Cranberry is one of our favorite holiday flavors....we really can't get enough of it! Here we've made a zesty orange pecan cranberry sauce that is incredibly versatile! Try it as a twist on the traditional side dish, as an addition to your cheese board or on top of a some creamy cheesecake.
2 cups packed brown sugar
2 cups orange juice
4 cups whole fresh cranberries
1/2 cup chopped Black Bow Sweets candied pecans
Zest from half an orange
1. In 2-quart saucepan, heat brown sugar and orange juice to boiling over medium heat, stirring frequently. Boil 5 minutes.
2. Stir in cranberries. Heat to boiling. Boil about 5 minutes, stirring frequently, until cranberries are popped and mixture has thickened. Lightly mash cranberries.
3. Stir in orange zest and Black Bow Sweets pecans.
3. Remove from heat and transfer to bowl or dish. Cover and refrigerate about 3 hours or until chilled.
